I am happy to say Slimbridge was a resounding success, with 124 works selling, from loose prints to originals. My next exhibition is already planned and is to be held at The Unicorn Gallery, 1 Kings Court, Waterlane, Wilmslow, Cheshire - Phone 01625 525276, previewing on the 18th of January 2007. Interest in my work continues to grow in a prosperous fashion, including articles in Birds Illustrated and Cheshire Life magazines. Wishing everybody a happy Christmas and wellbeing in the New Year.

September 2006

It's been a very busy Summer and most rewarding, not only with my painting but also family life, with a new addition Amelia Rose Davie. Success has come at every venue; firstly with NEWA (National Exhibition of Wildlife Art) where I submitted three paintings all of which were accepted and every one sold! Works also sold at the MIWAS annual exhibition and from the selected galleries where I permanently exhibit my work. I now look forward to the big one Slimbridge - the 15th of October to the 20th of November. With 60 paintings, over a years work, very exciting! I hope you can all come along. January - June 2006

Having recently completed a successful exhibition, the 15th of January to the 4th of March 2006 at the Museum of Modern at for Wales, Ian Davie now looks forward to an exhibition at Ivy House Gallery, Montgomery in June 2006 and a major exhibition of his work at Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands centre, Gloucestershire running from the 15th of October to the 20th of November 2006. Continuing his busy schedule, Ian Davie will also be submitting three of his original paintings to the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA), which holds its annual exhibition from the 14th of July to the 30th of July 2006 at Gordale Garden Centre, Chester High Road, South Wirral. The unique nature of Ian Davie's paintings has generated a huge amount of interest within the art world and exhibitions for 2007 are already at the planning stage.

Examples of Ian Davie's work can also be seen at selected galleries; La Galerie D'art, Lake Road, Bowness on Windermere, Cumbria; The Unicorn Gallery, Water Lane, Wimslow, Cheshire; and Oriel Plas Glyn-Y-Weddw, Llanbedrog, North West Wales.

Media interest in Ian Davie's recent exhibition was considerable with three Welsh papers and a magazine running articles. National publishers are now taking an interest with a forthcoming article in Birds Illustrated due out in their winter issue. Two further articles have been requested which will no doubt be penned when time permits.
